“The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals”
Navratri festivities got underway at Dr. Vijaypat Singhania School with amazing zeal amongst the children to celebrate the nine-day long festival to commemorate and invoke the blessings of Goddess Amba in her various forms.
The entire school cherished the Garba celebration held in the school auditorium. The students of all the grades came dressed in traditional attire which made for a spectacular visual treat for everyone to see and relish.
The celebration began in the morning where our tiny tots from pre-primary section presented nine forms of Maa Durga. Followed by a dance performance of students from grade 1 and 2. The children’s joy knew no bounds and for some it was definitely an experience of a lifetime. The icing on the cake for the children was when their teachers performed a Garba dance. After which all the students played garba along with their friends and teachers. The celebration ended with children and teachers offering prayers, aarti along with a beautiful recital.
The positivity and energy exuberating out of the colourful costumes combined with the enthusiasm of dancing to the dandia folk songs made the entire day extremely successful and fruitful.
We wish all our students and their loved ones a very Happy Navratri.
